United Creatives have developed a close working relationship with the Boatyard Distillery taking care of all branding, packaging, signage, exhibition, in-store, web and online design. Originally set to be named The Lough Erne Distillery we named the distillery The Boatyard Distillery after a site visit to the marina and converted boatyard in Enniskillen where the family business is based.
Our work for The Boatyard Distillery won a Design Masters Awards in the category of gin at the Spirit Masters Awards.
The main brand identity is seated in the infinity knot synonymous with Irish Celtic cultures and was used to also correlate with shipping and boating knots to be found on the nearby lough. The label system and design for print are all executed on a vintage Heidelberg press as the quality achieved by our print partners Blush Publishing is always superior to that of any flexo press, the default go-to for drinks labels with the stopper bespoke designed by United Creatives and featuring a high definition woven silk taffeta label.
To date we have created a Double Gin, an Old Tom gin, a vodka made with champagne yeast, a seasonal ‘winter solstice’ gin with other limited edition label collaborations for local hotels, chocolatiers and The Beaufort Bar at the Savoy. Since the beginning the team at the distillery has gone on to have a full range of spirits produced in conjunction with United Creatives, with Boatyard products found as the house pour in five star hotels and hundred of bars beyond thanks to a global distribution.
Most recently, we designed new Boatyard Eco Refill Pouches. Using these packs to refill your beloved Boatyard bottles results in less packaging being used, whilst also significantly reducing carbon emissions.
